Our Journey

Since our inception at the 2024 W.E.Connect conference hosted by the Happy Valley LaunchBox and powered by PNC Bank, we have been committed to providing a space for women in Happy Valley PA to engage in meaningful work, establish connections, and create communities around shared interests.

  • What is the Changemaker Collective?
The Happy Valley Changemaker Collectives are spaces where women come together to explore causes they care about and, if they choose, take meaningful action. Each collective is self-organized and sets its own mission, goals, and pace.
  • How can I stay connected and find out about events?
We’ve set up dedicated social media spaces just for the Happy Valley Changemaker Collectives! 🎉 Be sure to follow us to stay in the loop: 📷 Instagram: @hvchangemakers 📘 Facebook Group: Happy Valley Changemaker Collectives Not on social media? No problem! You can: 📅 Follow our shared Google Calendar: hvchangemakers.com/blank-4 📬 Contact the collective leaders directly (leader contact info is listed on this page) for updates and meeting invites. You’ll see updates, collective events, success stories, and ways to get more involved pop up there too!
  • How did the Changemaker Collectives start?
The collectives grew out of connections made at the 2024 W.E.Connect Conference hosted by the Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank. Women identified important topics they were passionate about and created groups to keep the momentum going.
  • Do I need to be an expert to join a collective?
Not at all! Whether you’re experienced or just passionate, there’s a place for you. The Changemaker Collectives are about learning, connection, and collaboration, not expertise.
  • Are the collectives discussion-based, action-based, or both?
They can be either—or both! Some groups may focus on discussion and learning, others may choose to launch initiatives or projects. Each collective will decide what best fits their interests and energy.
  • Which Changemaker Collectives are active right now?
Here are the current Happy Valley Changemaker Collectives: Climate Action Women’s Mental Health Mentorship for Women Entrepreneurship Growth for Women Happy Valley Lifestyle
  • How can I join a collective?
It’s easy! Simply reach out directly to the listed leader (contact information is provided [below/on this page]). They’ll add you to the group’s communication list and share next steps.
  • Can I lead a collective?
Yes! We are still looking for leaders for a few collectives, and we welcome anyone interested in stepping into a leadership or co-leadership role. If you’re interested, [contact us] or reach out to one of the current leaders.
  • Is there a cost to participate?
No, participation is completely free! The Changemaker Collectives are community-driven efforts supported by Happy Valley LaunchBox.
  • Where do the collectives meet?
Each collective decides their meeting style: In-person gatherings (LaunchBox space is available) Virtual meetings (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) Or a mix of both
  • Who supports the Changemaker Collectives?
While each collective is self-led, Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank is here to provide meeting space, resources, and support. Think of LaunchBox as your home base if you need help bringing ideas to life.
